Greetings to you all. GES embarked on its journey in the year of 2003 with a small investment, few people, big dreams and determined massive to succeed. GES occupational health centers carry out pre-employment and periodic medical checkups as well as other routine preventive services. Specialized tests like biological monitoring, health risk assessment studies and audits for exposure to various materials are also performed. Retrofitting service offered by us is just replacing old one with new one. This is highly equivalent one for Renovation and Up-gradation of Existing BOCB and MOCB Panel. We General Engineering & Services also offer retrofitting for all kinds of existing LTs and HTs i.e.

• For MOCBs with VCBs and SF6 at HT side
• For OCBs with compact and competitive ACBs at LT side.

The operation and performance of any switchgear is important to minimize or make dead stop to the shut down period and thus depends on:

• Need for maintenance
• Frequency of maintenance
• Over hauling

The maintenance of conventional circuit breaker i.e. ACB/BOCB/MOCB needs periodic maintenance & replacement of contacts, quenching medium such as oil and spares for operating mechanism. The maintenance of ACB/BOCB/MOCB depends on the no. of short circuit operations and the switching applications.

In our country, installation of switch gear started with OCB/BOCB/MOCBs in beginning. With these arrangements are in service more than five decades, these switch gears require large amount of spare & have gradually tapered off production.

This results in retrofitting of old OCB/BOCB/MOCB switchgear with ACB and VCB, which is best alternative for old installations. The main advantage of retrofitting is costing investment at cheaper level for up-gradation of existing panels more quietly than doing all above renovation with required spares.
